Ted Baker Needle is HTC Touch Lilac – A New Breed of Fashion Phone
Sunday, November 4th, 2007Ted Baker was until recently not a name associated with mobile phones but instead with designer mens clothing such as Jeans, Jackets, Tops and Footware, but the label has now entered the UK mobile phones market with some new branded offerings that are well worth a look.
The first new model released by the designer company was a collaboration with the mobile manufacturer Samsung and was called the Ted Baker Button Pink, this was in fact a Samsung L760 branded with the Ted Baker name and designed by the company in three different colours. The first colour to be released was the Pink version quickly followed by a Brown and Blue edition, however recently the Blue version has become unavailable.
The Samsung L760 is a slim sliding phone offering a 2.0 megapixel camera, the Ted Baker version comes with wallpapers and themes designed by the company as well as branding on the exterior of the handset just above the main display.
The latest addition to the Ted Baker range is the new Ted Baker Needle, a branded version of the popular HTC Touch. Now available in Lilac this new handset offers exactly the same features and specifications as the standard HTC Touch and T-Mobile MDA Touch but with a new lilac coloured casing that really makes the phone stand out.
The Ted Baker Needle mobile phone is unlike most other fashion phones. As you would expect from the designers at Ted Baker, it’s very smart but it’s also smart in the technical sense too. You see, this touch-screen handset has been made in partnership with HTC. It uses the Windows Mobile operating system which means you have access to a wide range of familiar-looking software programs on the move including Microsoft Windows Pocket versions of internet explorer, outlook and excel and it has WiFi connectivity for wireless connections to hotspots, company and home internet connections.
The Ted Baker Needle offers TouchFLO technology, this clever system lets you control contact information, programs and multimedia files by simply sliding your finger across the screen, the images rotate with your fingers movement and can then be selected by simply tapping the screen.
The Needle also features Bluetooth which allows devices such as mobile phones to connect wirelessly with other Bluetooth enabled devices. The most common use is with wireless headsets, while in the office or on the move. It’s an easy way of enabling your phone for use in the car without buying a car kit. You can also transfer data to all sorts of other bluetooth enabled devices, including printers, digital cameras, computers and more.
There is also an integrated 2.0 megapixel camera with a flash for low light conditions, a digital zoom for close up photography and support for video clip recording and playback, plus with a music player built in users can download new music tracks and arrange them into playlists for playing back through earphones or sharing via Bluetooth, email, sms or infrared.
The new Ted Baker Needle is far more than just another fashion phone, this device offers everything a busy professional needs to communicate whilst out of the office as well as a stylish alternative to the grey and black mobile devices of similar quality.
