The new Sony G900 has today been released as a SIM Free mobile phone, after first launching a few days ago on O2 contract deals consumers can now buy the new Sony Ericsson G900 without having to sign up to a network contract agreement, they can now simply insert their existing SIM card and carry on using their current mobil enumber, contacts and account information.

This is great news for those who are still inside their minimum term contract period but would really like to own the Sony G900, others will also be better off such as those that cannot pass the network credit checks as they can now use their existing or a new pay as you go SIM card and buy the new Sony G900 outright with no ties or checks.

The SIM Free Sony Ericsson G900 is also a good option for those that may have lost or had their mobile phone stolen, they can order a new SIM card directly from their network and use this with their new G900 phone.

POST UPDATE: Sony G900 Now Available SIM Free

After reporting that the CPQ group had published their release date for the new Sony Ericsson G900 we can now reveal that another major retailer has also added the phone to their site. Play have now published the Sony G900 with an ‘in stock” release date of the 9th June 2008.

The SIM Free version of the Sony Ericsson G900 will be unlocked to all UK networks, consumers will be able to buy the phone outright and insert their existing SIM card to retain their current mobile number and account information.
