Recently, a case maker leaked what it claimed to be renders of the Samsung Galaxy S7. Apart from showing us what the unannounced device would look like, the leak also claimed that there will be another version of the S7 aside from the regular and curved (S7 Edge Plus) versions – the 6-inch Samsung Galaxy S7 Plus. Now, CAD renders and a video of the device have been leaked as well.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Plus?
If these renders are to be believed, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will look a lot like its predecessor the Samsung Galaxy S6. The only noticeable difference, however, is the home button. The S6 features a rounded home button. The S7 features a rectangular home button.
Since we can’t confirm if these renders show the real deal, treat them like every other rumour for now.
So far, aside from the screen sizes, rumours are claiming that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will feature a new 20-megapixel rear-facing camera that is more ideal for snapping high-quality photos in even the poorest light conditions. As for the processor under the hood, markets such as the US and China are said to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, while markets such as the UK are said to rock the Samsung-made Exynos 8890 SoC. The S7 is expected to feature 4 GB of RAM. Unlike the S6, the S7 is said to feature a microSD card slot. For better heat management, Samsung is said to be testing a variety of heat pipes. A USB Type-C connector is said to be on board.
As for the Samsung Galaxy S7’s unveiling, Samsung is expected to lift the lid on the Galaxy S7 on the 21st of February in Barcelona, Spain, a day before MWC 2016.
