Samsung has signed up David Beckham, Jamie Oliver and Zara Phillips as its Olympic brand ambassadors in order to drive awareness of its digital activity supporting the Olympic Torch Relay and blogger programmes for the London 2012 Games.
Samsung’s marketing and advertising team have confirmed that they are planning a huge advertising blitz and release of the Galaxy S3 to line up with the 2012 Olympics in London this summer apparently via the ZDNet Korea tech site.
This means if the Samsung Galaxy S3 does make its world debut at the Olympics in London, then the UK will be one of the first countries to get the device in stores.
The Samsung Galaxy SIII is rumoured to be one of the thinnest smart phone releases of 2012 measuring just 7mm thick and will purportedly come with a 4.8 inch full HD screen with a 1080p resolution, a 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a new ceramic shell and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
If Samsung’s award winning Galaxy S2 is anything to go by the Galaxy S3 will probably follow suit with definite white colour scheme as well as a possible pink version.
