A new addition to the current model list of Supernova phones from Nokia has today been announced for UK release, joining the 7310 Blue and White / Pink editions, 7610 sliding supernova and more recent 7210 supernova phone is a new flip phone that is also to be released in a range of tempting colour schemes.

The Nokia 7510 Supernova is the first clamshell design phone in the range and will please many a flip phone enthusiast who can remember the 7270 from the L’Amour range a couple of years ago.

A Symbian S40 phone, the Nokia 7510 Supernova is the second in a lineup of three new Nokia’s. 

Whilst the Nokia 7310 Supernova is a candybar, the 7510 is a clamshell and the 7610 is a slider.

Sandwiched inbetween the two, the Nokia 7510 Supernova offers slightly less than the Nokia 7310 and the Nokia 7610 in terms of advanced functionality.

Even so, the Nokia 7510 Supernova is extremely well equipped.

Users will be surprised by the high quality of images captured by the phones 2 mega pixel camera which also comes with a built-in LED flash and 4xdigital zoom, and videos are recorded at 15fps.

As with the Nokia 7310 and 7610 models, the Nokia 7510 Supernova includes the presence of a music player, FM radio with RDS support and microSD card expansion to ensure ample storage space.  With the card slot available the 27MB of shared memory on the Nokia 7510 Supernova is of no consequence and a 512MB card is included in the package.

Full supported memory capacity possible is 8GB which is 6GB more than that of the 7610.

All three offer Quad band GSM with GPRS and EDGE plus bluetooth wireless and USB connectivity. Apart from a slightly smaller camera and obvious design differences all three fashion phones are high performers.

The Nokia 7510 Supernova however has the added advantage of Xpress on covers and as such can be changed to suit ones outfit or the occassion.

The Nokia 7510 Supernova also has a hidden exterior display and 2.5mm headset audio jack at your disposal.

Although based on the original specification of the HTC Advantage, the X7510 does have some of its own unique talents and some welcomed improvements on existing features.  With a new design, updated software, improved keyboard and bigger 16GB flash memory, the HTC X7510 Advantage looks set for a huge success.

Multimedia features include a 3.15 mega pixel camera with autofocus, video capture & playback, secondary videocall camera and windows media player 10.  And if you hadn’t guessed it already, the HTC Advantage X7510 is 3G enabled thanks to being HSDPA enabled, but then its even got WiFi connectivity which makes even more sense.  The USB connection allows for easy PC synchronisation and bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP stereo support is as much of a bonus as 3G these days.

Sporting a built-in GPS satellite navigation system is of no great surprise either and the dual speakers don’t go unnoticed.  The device is powered by a 624Mhz processor and runs on a future version of the Microsoft Window Mobile operating system.  With TV Output video clips can be viewed through your TV providing greater visual power and the suite of secondary applications for business use come in rather handy as well.  For now, the HTC X7510 is only going to be released in Black but its still early days and you just never know.
