LG Nexus 5X to leave the warehouse on October 22
Late last month, Google lifted the lid on the LG Nexus 5X smartphone alongside the Huawei Nexus 6P phablet. Although the two were available for pre-order soon after, the search giant failed to mention when the devices would start leaving the warehouse. If you pre-ordered the Nexus 5X, we’ve got good news for you. We now know when the device starts to ship.
22nd of October
The Google Store reveals that the LG Nexus 5X will leave the warehouse on the 22nd of October. So, if you pre-ordered the device, you could get your hands on the new Nexus device sometime next week.
To recap, the LG Nexus 5X sports a 5.2-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. This works out to a pixel density of 424 ppi. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor (four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.44 GHz, two Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 1.82 GHz, and an Adreno 418 GPU to handle graphics), coupled with 2 GB of RAM. It is available in two storage options – 16 GB and 32 GB. Sadly, there is no microSD card support. Its camera combo consists of a 12.3-megapixel rear-facing camera with laser autofocus and dual-LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera that will take care of selfies and video chat. To keep the lights on, the smartphone comes with a non-removable 2,700 mAh battery. It comes with a Type C USB connector, which means you never have to worry about plugging in the cable the wrong way ever again. On the back of the device is a fingerprint sensor. Like every new Nexus device, the 5X runs the latest version of Android – Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It measures 147 x 72.6 x 7.9 mm. Colour options include white and blue.
