Comparison Review – Huawei Ascend P2 Vs Sony Xperia SP
With both handsets already available we wanted to see how these two smart phones compare with a little help from our Infographic Ref.
Despite its label as the ‘fastest LTE phone’ the Huawei Ascend P2 (cheap deals at phoneslimited) still has a lot of competition in the market of mid-high end smart phones but it would appear that in this case on paper at least it has the competitive edge over the Sony Xperia SP. Or does it?
What does this title really mean? Well, it actually refers to 4G download speed rather than processor speed, supporting peak download speeds of up to 150Mbps, which certainly makes it the fastest in its class.
Sony’s Xperia SP Vs Huawei’s Ascend P2
Aside from its lightening fast download speeds and fast upload speeds, the Huawei Ascend P2 has quite an impressive array of features to offer. At the top of the list is the 13 mega pixel camera with HDR and impressive 4.7″ LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 720p and Huawei’s own Emotion UI 1.6 technology.
The Sony Xperia SP might not be able to beat it on camera size offering up a mere 8 mega pixel in comparison but as for the display well the Sony Xperia SP boasts a rather impressive 4.6″ HD display of its own with the same resolution but marginally higher ppi, 312 vs 319 respectively.
Slimmer and lighter than the Sony Xperia SP, the Ascend P2 offers 16GB of built-in storage but no microSD expansion whereas its competitor may have a smaller internal memory capacity at 8GB, but it does have an external memory slot.
The two LTE devices are neck and neck when it comes to notification features and sensors both sporting the likes of haptic feedback and an accelerometer among others and are both are NFC enabled but the Huawei Ascend does have more battery power and a faster CPU whereas the Sony Xperia SP features one-touch mirroring and is shorter.
The Chinese Manufacture, Huawei, have produced a remarkably stylish phone with cutting edge technology, ultra slim design and superb camera quality which when compared to the craftsmanship of the Sony Xperia SP it’s a tough choice.
