Huawei P9 to rock dual camera setup?
Past reports have revealed more about the unannounced Huawei P9’s specs, including its camera. A new report has more to reveal about the device’s rear-facing camera, revealing that the Chinese firm has something new to offer with its upcoming flagship. Read on to find out more.
Rumoured dual camera setup
The new rumour comes to us courtesy of Mobipicker. The site has leaked a photo (see above) that is believed to be the labeling for the Huawei P9’s rear-facing camera.
The labeling reveals that there will be two versions of the device – an “LTE” version and a “Deluxe” version. It also shows two colour options, which are white and gold. More importantly, aside from the locations of the flash and laser auto focus, it shows that the device will rock a dual camera setup. We’ve heard from past reports that the Huawei P9 will sport a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with optical image stabilisation.
We’ve also heard from previous reports that the Huawei P9 will sport a 5.2-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels (Full HD), which works out to a pixel density of 424 ppi. Under the hood is said to be a Huawei-made Kirin 950 SoC, which is an octa-core processor that offers four Cortex-A72 cores, four Cortex-A57 cores, and a Mali-T880 GPU to handle graphics, coupled with 4 GB of RAM.
The Kirin 950 previously appeared in a benchmark test, revealing that it is more powerful that the already impressive Exynos 7420, which is made by Samsung. The Exynos 7420 can be found under the hood of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
So when will Huawei officially unveil and launch its next flagship. The Chinese firm is believed to be prepping the Huawei P9 for a launch before the end of this year, which means it could be sold in stores in time for the holidays.
