As more manufacturers take on the ‘mini’ name for their smaller models HTC have joined the bandwagon with their HTC HD Mini. This new miniaturised version of the original HTC HD manages to squeeze the latest technology into an even smaller housing for a new pocket friendly smart phone.
The HTC HD Mini has now been given a confirmed release date as a SIM Free and unlocked mobile phone as well as a price tag for its launch, this latest mini HTC handset will be available from April 12th 2010 with an initial purchase price of £339.99.

This new handset will also be joined by two other new phones from the manufacturer around the same time, the HTC Desire (Google Nexus One with Sense UI and Flash support) and the HTC Legend are both due for release in the same week making for an interesting choice for smart phone fans.
Other manufacturers that have recently coined the mini tag for their models include Nokia for their Nokia N97 Mini and Sony Ericsson for their Sony Ericsson X10 Mini and Sony Mini Pro handsets.
