Both phones have been launched with further colour variants in order to attract a different audience, the LG Arena can now be ordered in Titan Black and its original silver variant whilst the Samsung Pixon is available in its original Graphite Grey plus Pink and Silver colour schemes.

After earlier reporting a SIM free release date for the new LG Arena mobile phone we have now learned that it has been revised for nearly 30 days, originally scheduled for launch on 13th March this has now been pushed back to 10th April but worry not as this great new touch screen phone has now been released on UK network deals.

The LG KM900 Arena is currently available on both Orange and T-Mobile pay monthly contract deals in the UK, already being offered from Free and with some great free gift packages including Free Laptops and Playstation 3 consoles!

The LG Arena uses a brand new user interface that the manufacturer has developed named S-Class, available for the first time. This is a touch interface and in a similar way to HTC, uses a 3D graphical ‘cube’ to access all the phone’s features but doesn’t throw you into the depths of Windows Mobile once you select an icon! Instead you are presented with a vertically scrolling rolodex style menu which you ‘rotate’ with your finger if you pick multimedia, a home screen-style page and a more familiar 3×3 grid of icons elsewhere.

A main screen exists which can be used instead of the cube and provides total phone access including less often used features. The large screen has plenty of space for icons and can even be used in landscape mode for even more. Best of all, the cube’s content will be customisable and everything looks fast, responsive and packed with great little animated touches – the gallery looks amazing for instance!
