This is according to known ROM developer @LlabTooFeR. He tweeted, “HTC One M9+ will hit EU markets in Q3. It will be available in Germany, Italy, Russia and some other Western/Eastern EU countries…”

Of course, since this is anything but official, take this with a pinch of salt.

Unannounced HTC One E9sw revealed by TENAA

Chinese-speaking CNMO has spotted a listing on China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center, TENAA. The listing reveals a yet to be unveiled HTC-made device called the HTC One E9sw (image below).

The listing also reveals specs. The HTC One E9sw sports a 5.5-inch 720p AMOLED screen, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash, a 4-megapixel UltraPixel front-facing camera, 16 GB of internal storage, an octa-core processor with each core clocked at 1.5 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, and a 2,600 mAh battery. The E9sw is a mere 7.64 mm-thick and weighs in at 165 g. Colour options include  white, black, red, orange, blue, gray, and gold. The device seems to be a more affordable version of the recently unveiled One E9+.

This listing suggests that the HTC One E9sw will be officially unveiled in China sooner than later. It is likely, however, that the smartphone will not be available in other markets aside from China.

Pricing is yet to be determined.

Major software update to be pushed out to HTC One M9 – to bring color temperature control and guest mode

LlabTooFeR, an HTC ROM developer, has revealed that the HTC One M9 will be getting a “major software update.” This update could bring Android 5.1 (Lollipop), which includes colour temperature control and Guest Mode.

Guest Mode allows owners of the HTC One M9 to give guest users limited access to their smartphone. Colour temperature control allows the smartphone’s owners  to control the M9’s screen colour temperature. Currently, only thrid-party apps allow users to control colour temperature.

Unfortunately, the ROM developer did not mention when this major update will be rolling out to the HTC One M9. We’re guessing the update will roll out in the coming months. We’re also guessing the HTC One M9 will not be the only HTC-made smartphone to receive the update.

If you’re unfamiliar with the HTC One M9, the smartphone sports a 5-inch 1080p screen, a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera made by Toshiba, a 4-megapixel Ultrapixel front-facing camera, front-facing BoomSound speakers developed by Dolby Audio, 32/64 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot (as much as 128 GB), Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor under the hood with four cores clocked at 2 GHz and four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz, 3 GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 2,840 mAh battery. It runs Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with HTC’s Sense 7.0 UI slapped on top.

Phones LTD will let you know once this update is available for the HTC One M9 in the UK.
