Apple’s iPhone 4G Early Release?
Wednesday, January 13th, 2010The rumour mills are well and truly in motion over the much anticipated launch of the next generation Apple iPhone, although not confirmed many are already calling it the iPhone 4G and today there have been leaks coming out of South Korea and France as to a push for a May 2010 release.
Up until now Apple have been releasing their new iPhone models in the summer of each year but maybe the recent launch of the Nexus One Google Android phone has spurred them into releasing the new iPhone 4G earlier, a Korean newspaper is claiming that the parts of the new 4G model will be sent for testing in April of this year pointing to a possible May release date.

But the really interesting news is about the leaked specifications of the iPhone 4G, these include an OLED screen for a much brighter, sharper and more battery efficient display as found in many of the more recent phone releases. Other new features include a Dual Core Processor capable of handling multitasking for a far speedier user experience and a removable battery / back cover which will please many as you can then have a second battery on charge.
The camera offered by the new iPhone 4G is being leaked as a new 5.0 mega pixel unit with possible support for high-definition video recording, the latter seems a little far fetched as Apple took so long just to support video recording in the first place.
And finally, the introduction of video calling via a secondary front facing camera, although many phones to support 3G face to face video calling it is not as widely used as first predicted, maybe Apple could put their expertise into other areas instead of developing this and include an edition with a slide out keyboard?
