Here’s the promotional video:

At the very start of the 30-second video, BlackBerry reaffirms that the BlackBerry Priv comes with features exclusive to BlackBerry devices like Blackberry Hub. This feature allows users to find all of their messages, email, social media interactions, and so much more all in one place.

The Blackberry Priv features a 5.4-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD). This works out to a pixel density of 540 ppi, which is the best screen found on a Blackberry smartphone so far. Although it features a rather large screen, this doesn’t mean that you can only make use of the device’s virtual keyboard. It also comes with a physical QWERTY keyboard that slides out of the frame.

According to the video, the BlackBerry Priv comes with a “colossal” 3,410 mAh battery, which can offer 22.5 hours of battery life of mixed use.

The video also lets us know that the BlackBerry Priv features an 18-megapixel Schneider-Kreuznach rear-facing camera with optical image stabilisation. This camera can record 4K videos.

The last feature revealed by the video is DTEK – an early warning system that lets you know if your privacy has been compromised. DTEK monitor your smartphone and alerts you when you are at risk. It also gives you suggestions on how to make your smartphone more secure.

Here are the features and specs not mentioned in the video: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor (two cores clocked at 1.8 GHz, four cores clocked at 1.44 GHz, and an Adreno 418 GPU to handle graphics) under the hood, coupled with 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of memory, microSD support (as much as 2 TB). It runs Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) out of the box.

The BlackBerry Priv (SIM free) is available from BlackBerry UK for £559.00 (VAT included). It will start shipping out to peolple who pre-ordered the smartphone on the 9th of November.
