Samsung ditches the glossy plastic rear exterior in favour of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3‘s faux leather design for their latest addition to the Galaxy S4 and S4 Mini ranges. Revealed at the latter end of last month to a Russian audience, Samsung officially announced that they were releasing a new Black edition of their flagship device the Galaxy S4 along with a Black edition of the popular and compact Galaxy S4 Mini model.
Despite the fact that the Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to be unveiled at the end of this month, Samsung fans will no doubt be excited at the prospect of having a choice between being able to get their hands on a new revamped version of the popular S4 and S4 Mini models or opting for the new S5 when it becomes available.
In addition to the leather look rear casing, black bezel and colour coded accessories that come as part of the package, both models will feature eight new darker themed wallpaper designs for the home and lock screens plus some new exclusive ringtones preloaded for your pleasure.
Aside from that though the new Black editions of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 Mini smart phones will thankfully boast the same top end features sported by previous models and favoured by so many.
For the Samsung Galaxy S4 these include a fantastic 5 inch Super AMOLED 1080 x 1920 pixel full HD display, rear facing 13 mega pixel camera with full HD video capture, 2MP front facing camera and dual shot mode and a powerful quad-core 1.9GHz Qualcomm processor providing smooth performance and blistering speeds all backed up by 2GB of RAM and a microSD card slot expandable up to an additional 64GB.
Not to be outdone though despite its smaller compact size, the pocket friendly Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini offers the latest in Android features and is an ideal alternative to its larger sibling.
Albeit that there is no word on pricing or an official release date for the UK, Samsung has reportedly confirmed that following their launch in Russia the new Black edition Samsung Galaxy S4 and S4 Mini will be released in the UK. As always we will keep you posted with the latest news and updates regarding the release of these new models.
