There is no question that the iPhone 5S is set to be one of the most exciting new smartphones launched in 2013 and we are starting to hear more news about what feature we may see included on this new device. The latest news relating to this model suggests that a brand new music streaming service from Beats is set to feature which will delight Apple fans across the globe.
News of the new music streaming service set for the iPhone 5S has come from Reuters who have reported that the CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, is currently in discussions with Jimmy Lovine, CEO of Beats about using the company’s new audio facility on the new iPhone and other iOS devices. It is reported that the service is being discussed for use on the iTunes platform which means users of iPod’s and iPad devices will also get access to all of the features that it has to offer. Streaming services are becoming very popular and Spotify is perhaps the most well known service currently in circulation. The new Beats feature will offers similar facilities including the ability to stream tracks direct to the phone.
We have heard reports about this new Beats service since earlier in the year although this is the first time that a 2013 launch has been suggested. According to Reuters the news of discussions between Apple and Beats has come from three different sources who are said to be familiar with the talks that are taking place. Beats officially announced the service, code named Project Daisy, back in January. Front man of band the Nine Inch Nails has already been installed as the Creative Director for the service which will help the platform to reach a wider spectrum of consumers. In addition to this Beats are also looking to launch the service as a spin off company and have generated £45 million in funds to help this happen. This will give Project Daisy some extra clout ahead of its launch. The fact that discussions are underway for the service to be included on handsets such as the iPhone 5S should also ensure that millions of extra consumers can get access to the service from the word go.
Project Daisy is an exciting new feature that is sure to add even more appeal to the iPhone 5S handset. The fact that the service is being readied for iTunes also means that users of older devices like the iPhone 5 should be able to take advantage of all that the new platform has to offer.
