US Customers Get $100 Discount On The HTC One

images (2)For months, the smartphone industry has been abuzz with rumours and speculation about the HTC One, the latest flagship Android offering from the Taiwanese company. The device was finally unveiled last week, and appears to have lived up to expectations with high praise for the phone coming from reviewers and critics.

The HTC One sports an aluminium unibody design, the first handset from the manufacturer to do so since 2010’s HTC Legend. This gives the phone an appealing appearance, while also affording it with durability and great build quality. With black and silver options to choose from, there is also a red version in the pipeline, but this has been elusive since its launch so is likely to exclusive to a handful of networks or markets. Aside from the appearance of the phone, you will also find the phone’s hardware specs compelling for it has 4.7 inch high definition display, 1.7GHz quad-core processor and UltraPixel camera. The device runs the latest version of Android Jellybean as its OS, in conjunction with the newly updated Sense UI.

HTC is already in preparation to make the phone available in more than 60 countries where virtually every major network has signed up to carry the phone. This is a move by HTC to make it sure that their latest device will have a head start over the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 which is set to be released in coming weeks, and will no doubt go on to dominate the market like the current Galaxy S3 model. In the US, HTC is running an incentive scheme for would be buyers. Those who purchase and activate the HTC One by March 31st, and send in their old mobile phone along with proof of purchase by April 30th will receive a $100 reimbursement off the price of the handset, according to HTC Source.

Currently it appears that there are no such plans for customers in the UK, but we will keep you informed if this changes. The HTC One is currently available for pre-order in the UK, and when it is released we will bring you the cheapest contract deals for the device form all the major networks.
