The HTC One was unveiled to the public earlier this week, following months of speculation about its features. The Taiwan-based company’s newest flagship device was originally thought to be named as the ‘HTC M7’. Smartphone enthusiasts have been excited about the phone during the last few months, and it is now official, being one of the first major smartphone launches of 2013.
Speculation and rumours have largely turned out to be true. For example, phone’s display measures 4.7 inches with LCD3 technology and 1080p full HD resolution. You will notice that HTC One has a smaller screen size compared to other smartphones this resolution, with most at 5 inches. This is actually advantageous to the M7, as it means it has a higher pixel density.
With a 4 megapixel seemingly much lower than the resolution of virtually every other smartphone out there, it makes use of a new technology called ‘Ultra Pixel’, pioneered by HTC, meaning each pixel captures more light resulting in higher quality images. The camera has other features like HD video capture, and an gyroscope based video stabilisation feature. Visit us at PhonesLimited for the best HTC One special offers, and HTC One X+ contract deals.
Although the HTC One lacks expandable storage like a microSD slot, it comes in 32GB and 64GB intenral storage options which is more than sufficient for the majority of users, and of course the handset is compatible with many cloud based storages solutions. The phone also has LTE connectivity and NFC capability function, besides the usual Wi-Fi and Bluetooth features.
The HTC One certainly looks the part; it sports an aluminium unibody design with red, black and white variants and a somewhat similar design to the iPhone 5. Furthermore, it is among the thinnest phones released by HTC, at just 9.3mm.
The HTC One has already been launched in France and Japan, with many more to follow in coming weeks. It is currently expected to launch in the UK next month, but is already available for pre-order with all major UK networks.
