Sony Xperia Z To Launch In Germany This Week

imagesThe Sony Xperia Z is the first high-end smartphone launch of the new year. The phone has caused a lot of excitement from enthusiasts before it was announced officially during the CES 2013 event held in Las Vegas a few weeks ago. Before the release of the phone, many have speculated about the potential specs and features of the phone and the initial impressions appear to be very encouraging.

To date, the Xperia Z is certainly the most impressive device released by the Japanese manufacturer. However, the phone will be facing some tough rivals in the market such as the Samsung Galaxy 4 and the HTC One. However, the Xperia Z looks like it will be able to hold its own, as the device has its own strengths when it comes to its features and some of these are the 5-inch display with full HD resolution,  a 1.5 quad-core processor, 13 megapixel camera, 16 GB of internal storage, Android Jellybean OS and IP55 and IP57 certifications which means the phone is dustproof and waterproof.

After the Xperia Z was officially announced, people’s curiosity focused on the specific date of its release. The phone is available now for pre-order in a number of countries, but many have been anticipating the announcement of its launch date. GSM Arena has reported that Sony Mobile Germany will launch the device on February 21st. It is likely that the Xperia Z will be launched in many European countries around this date because the Europe is vital market for phone makers.
