With the release of the new Samsung Galaxy S3 4G enabled smart phone by both Three and Vodafone networks there has been some confusion as both state that on their product pages that the phone comes with Android Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box rather than the Jelly Bean software that Samsung i9305 is shipped with from other networks like EE.
Vodafone have now confirmed that they are offering the i9305 edition of the Samsung Galaxy S3 and that it does ship with the 4.1 Jelly Bean software, this is important as the Samsung i9305 offers double the RAM at 2GB over the 3G i9300 model.
Vodafone have also exclusively launched the first Sapphire Black Samsung Galaxy S3 to be 4G enabled, up until now this black colour scheme was only available in the 3G model, the network is also offering the i9305 in the marble white colour scheme which has only been available on EE, T-Mobile and Orange since its release as well as the pebble blue Samsung Galaxy S3 4G model which has also been launched by Three Mobile.
Three have also now confirmed that their 4G enabled Samsung Galaxy S3 is also the i9305 model even though they’ve decided to rename the handset as the Samsung Galaxy S3 Ultrafast edition, their explanation behind this is that the phone will work on 4G LTE networks once released but up until then will also make use of fast DC-HSPA connections.
