The latest flagship Android smartphone from Taiwanese manufacturer HTC is soon to be unveiled. The HTC M7 has been one of the most eagerly anticipated smartphone models in recent months, leading to plenty of rumours circulating around the internet regarding its potential features, which look like they will be very impressive.
Recently, these rumours were put to rest after photos of the handset, along with spec lists were leaked online, followed by a video of the front and back panels of the HTC M7 by a component manufacturer.
This has led to speculation about the phone turning from its features, to the likely announcement and release dates of the phone.
HTC Source has recently revealed that the HTC M7 is likely to be unveiled at an event on the 19th of February, days before MWC 2013 kicks off. This is one of the most prominent dates in the smartphone calendar, and HTC will most certainly have planned this to take attention away from handsets unveiled by rival manufacturers at Mobile World Congress. Although this announcement date is not yet official, HTC Source has a proven track record of providing reliable information about upcoming HTC products, so this looks like a rumour worth taking note of. The website has also revealed that two colour options of the HTC M7 will be launched. These are the matt black version, which was recently leaked in photos and videos, along with a silver/white option.
Although UK networks are yet to announce their positions on this phone, it is likely that the vast majority will be keen to carry the device in order to capitalise on its probable popularity.
