Nokia are regarded by many consumers as the go to brand for Windows 8 phones. Since the operating system was introduced last year both the Lumia 920 and 820 models have proved to be a massive success for the company. Now UK consumers can get their hands on the newest addition to this range, the competitively priced Nokia Lumia 620.
Over the past few weeks we have seen the new Nokia Lumia 620 being gradually rolled out in various markets across the globe and now UK consumers will be delighted that the handset is now available on these shores. Three network providers, Three, O2 and Virgin Mobile, are offering the new model from launch and Vodafone will also add their name to this list soon when they begin to offer the 620 on February the 9th. The Lumia 620 is designed to be a more entry level alternative to the mid range Nokia Lumia 820 so it is no surprise that early prices seem very competitive. The model can generally be picked up for free with a 24 month contract costing around £18.50 per month. Pay As You Go customers will also be attracted to the cheap price of this phone. At the moment the Lumia 620 can be purchased on a Pay As You Go package for around £149.
The new Nokia Lumia 620 may not offer the same level specification as the Lumia 920 and 820 but it can still outclass many other phones that fall into the same price category. It is pleasing to see a dual core processor featured on what is essentially a budget handset. The model sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chip that offers a speed of 1Ghz together with an Adreno 305 GPU and a RAM memory of 512MB. The screen may be a touch smaller than many more premium devices like the Nokia Lumia 920 at 3.8 inches but it still offers a high resolution of 800 x 480. This in turn means that the pixel density on the phone is an impressive 246PPI. The camera facility on the model offers 5 mega pixel photographs together with 720P video capture while Dolby sound enhancement boosts audio quality when using headphones with the device.
The new Nokia Lumia 620 has finally arrived in the UK. This super model further enhances the appeal of Nokia’s Windows range of devices thanks to some super specification at a very wallet friendly price.
