We are expecting big things from HTC over the coming months and the launch of the new HTC M7 is one of the events that we are particularly excited about. The M7 is the new flagship smartphone from the company that they are hoping will challenge some of the more high profile handsets due to be released this year such as the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the iPhone 5S. News has emerged about a possible release date for this eagerly awaited new model.
We already know that HTC will be hosting simultaneous press conferences in New York and London of February the 19th and it is expected that these events will be used to officially unveil the new HTC M7 device. Now we are hearing reports relating to the actual release date of this new model and they are suggesting that the phone will hit shelves on March 8th. We are still a few weeks away from the launch so it is no surprise that we have no news on which UK network providers will be offering this exciting new model but as soon as announcements are made we will keep you updated. The release date ties in well with the fact that HTC are working on mass producing between 4 and 5 million of these devices during the first quarter of the year in preparation for what should be a very good consumer reaction. The model is set to be released in both a black finish and also a white/silver variant.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 and the iPhone 5S may be the models that tend to dominate mobile news but manufacturers such as HTC and Sony are hoping that their new line of phones will make an impression on the market share that the two big players currently enjoy. The HTC M7 is set to offer some excellent specification including a Full HD 1080P 4.7 inch display. This may be smaller than a number of rival models but the high resolution will enable the device to offer a pixel density of 469PPI which should eclipse all other devices that are released. An excellent Snapdragon S4 Pro processor will be included on the model to deliver excellent performance times. The chip will be clocked at 1.7Ghz and enable the device to excel at multi tasking. Other features are set to include a high quality 13 mega pixel digital still camera, 1080P video capture and 4G LTE connectivity for the fastest data transfer speeds available.
The HTC M7 is shaping up to be one of the biggest phone launches of 2013 and we do not have long to wait until this model gets a general release. This should be closely followed by the release of another high profile model, the HTC Butterfly.
