It looks like we already have an idea on how much the Blackberry Z10 will set you back once it hits shops.
An “anonymous tipster” sent Engadget a screenshot of what looks like Carphone Warehouse’s database. According to the site, “Thanks to an anonymous tipster, it appears that the SIM-free version of RIM’s Z10 will cost UKers a cool £480 at Carphone Warehouse (for perspective, a 16GB iPhone 5 would run you just roughly £30 more). The leak comes from what’s said to be a snapshot of the company’s internal database, listing the white variant. The attached BLAZ10WHI model number also syncs up nicely with the previous slip from the retailer.”
The Z10 is only one of two smartphones to make an appearance at RIM’s Blackberry 10 launching. It sports a 4.2-inch screen with a pixel per inch count of 355, which is more than the 326ppi of the iPhone 5. Other specs include 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The other phone to make an appearance at the launch is the X10, which sports a QWERTY keyboard Blackberry enthusiasts will be familiar with.
It’s no secret that RIM hasn’t been doing too well, ever since the arrival of Android handsets and the iPhone. We honestly hope Blackberry 10 can help the ailing Research In Motion rise from the ashes.
