The release of flagship smartphones from Samsung traditionally falls in May however we are seeing new reports that suggest that the new Samsung Galaxy S4 will be launched earlier than first expected. This news is sure to please millions of consumers that are eagerly waiting to get their hands on this new device.
The new reports that are circulating suggest that following a high profile launch event which is due to be held in March, we will see the new Samsung Galaxy S4 on our shelves on April the 15th. SamMobile have provided these reports which are said to have been supplied by “reliable” insider sources. The device had been known internally as Project J, according to the report, but is now known as Altius or Altius J. Consumers will be able to pick between either a Black or a White finish when the device is launched in week 16 which works out to be the week commencing April 15th. SamMobile also commented “We expect Samsung to hold an unpacked event at MWC or sometime in March”.
Included in these latest reports are some details which relate to new features that we may see on the new Samsung Galaxy S4. Apparently it has been “100 per cent confirmed” that this new handset will be released with wireless charging capabilities and will also include a powerful 2600mAh battery. There are already other premium devices on the market including the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Google Nexus 4 that boast wireless charging therefore the inclusion of this feature on the Samsung Galaxy S4 will not come as a great surprise. The wireless charging dock from Samsung will be released in the weeks that follow the launch of their latest high profile device. Another piece of news regarding this forthcoming handset is that it may not be given the name of the Galaxy S4 after all due to the fact that the number 4 is considered to be bad luck in Korea.
One of the most eagerly awaited smartphones of 2013 is the Samsung Galaxy S4 which is now expected to be launched earlier than first expected to the delight of smartphone fans everywhere.
