Last year we saw the Samsung Galaxy S3 become a huge success story thanks to excellent global sales and it looks as though 2013 may be the same for the Samsung Galaxy S4, the successor to this excellent device. We have had no confirmation about the release of this model but new images have appeared on a well known internet site that not only reportedly give us a glimpse of the phone but also a clue about its launch date.
Over the fast few weeks we have seen a handful of reported images of the new Samsung Galaxy S4 but this latest one offers us something a little different. Not only do we get an idea about the design of the model but also a little clue about the release date of the phone. This latest image was found on the popular Picasa website and has strangely been on the site for over one month without being clocked by any eager phone fans. Unlike previous snaps that have captured glimpses of the phone these latest images look very much like official product images produced by Samsung. Such types of image can be easily altered so their is the chance this latest one could be the work of hoaxers. Another explanation could be that the image actually features an alternative new model from Samsung. If it is the real deal it looks as though the S4 will be larger than the Samsung Galaxy S3 and sport a much slimmer bezel than last years handset. Unlike earlier pictures that we have seen this latest image shows a Home button present beneath the screen just like on previous Samsung models.
The latest image found on Picasa is certainly very interesting but perhaps the most intriguing element about it is the date featured on the main menu of the phone. Often such dates featured on pre release photographs gives us an idea about when the model will be released and this new Samsung Galaxy S4 photograph features a date reading April 22nd. This date certainly ties in with earlier reports of an April release date after a big launch event in March. On publication however has hinted that we may be treated to an S4 launch much earlier than predicted. According to the Asia Economic News Samsung are planning to release the phone on March the 22nd in the United States.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is one of the most hotly anticipated devices of 2013 and this latest image to appear on Picasa gives us not only an idea about the design of the phone but also clues about its potential release.
