It looks as though HTC are preparing to take on the big guns in the smartphone world over the coming months with an impressive range of new devices that include the new HTC M7 and the HTC Deluxe. A third premium handset is also due to be released soon in the shape of the new HTC Butterfly and over the past few days the handset got its first European release.
A couple of weeks ago the Australian market saw the launch of the new HTC Butterfly and now it looks like it Europe’s turn as the handset went on sale in Russia. Consumers in this region will be excited by the fact that they are the first in Europe to sample an Android smartphone boasting a Full HD 1080P display. At the moment the price of the phone in this area is quite high at approximately 692 Euros but it is worth bearing in mind the Russian price do tend to be higher than more Western regions so UK consumers should expect the price to be substantially lower when the model finally gets a UK release.
The HTC Butterfly may have a premium price tag but the model backs this up with some real top end features that could grace any smartphone currently available. The stand out aspect on this new phone is the excellent screen which is used. Boasting 1080P resolution the screen measures 5 inchs and uses Super LCD3 technology to ensure that superb image quality is delivered. Consumers can look forward to this handset being one of the fastest around thanks tho the Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset that is incorporated. This architecture combines a powerful 1.5Ghz quad core processor with the excellent Adreno 320 graphics processing unit. Other features present o n the new HTC Butterfly include an 8 mega pixel primary camera and a secondary camera offering a 2.1 mega pixel resolution.
Russian consumers can buy the new HTC Butterfly now and people in the UK and other parts of Europe should be welcoming the new model soon along with its stablemate the HTC Deluxe.
