South Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung continues to hit the headlines on account of its hugely popular Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 models. Samsung also continues to launch new models though, with one of the more recently announced being the Samsung Galaxy Grand. This device is essentially a mid range offering with a large screen, which was announced in Q4 last year. Until recently, there has be much information revealed that when we can expect to see the phone released.
Whilst some of its features are not quite up to par with some of its higher end counterparts like the Galaxy Note 2 or Galaxy S3, the Samsung Galaxy Grand has plenty of impressive features. It has a large 5 inch display, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 8 megapixel camera and Android 4.1 Jellybean operating system. While features like its processing power and screen resolution are not quite as high as those of its higher end counterparts, this is reflected in its price tag. A number of online retailers in the UK have began listing the handset for pre-order, with the price tag for the SIM free handset coming in at £359.49. This points to the phone being launched very soon. The phone is listed as ‘coming soon’, but currently no more specific dates are listed.
