Samsung are a giant electronics manufacturer but the area where the company really excel is with their superb range of Galaxy mobile devices. Over the last two years the company has produced the worlds best selling smartphones and thanks to this expectations are high for this years flagship model, the Samsung Galaxy S4. More news has emerged that suggest the model may get a release in the early summer months of this year.
Over the past few weeks we have seen numerous reports relating to a possible release date for the new Samsung Galaxy S4 and these have ranged from February to June. More recently many sources have suggested a May launch and this looks increasingly likely as Samsung’s own Facebook Lebanon page has confirmed it. Even without this news May does seem the most plausible release date for the phone. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is still attracting healthy sales and Samsung will be keen not to replace this model while demand is still high. The S3 was actually released in May 2012 so a similar date for the successor would make sense. Numerous reports recently have suggested May as the month when we will see the S4 including ones from Reuters news agency. Consumers hoping to catch a glimpse of the phone at CES or MWC 2013 are therefore likely to be disappointed with Samsung more likely to unveil the handset at a dedicated event in the weeks leading up to its general release.
We are still a few months away from a Samsung Galaxy S4 launch and it is therefore no great surprise that exact details about what the phone will offer in terms of features and specification are rare. The handset is set to be slimmer than ever before while Samsung will also be keen to boost processing power to keep the model ahead of the chasing pack in terms of performance speeds. It is generally accepted that the new model will once again see an increase in screen size from the 4.8 inches offered by the Samsung Galaxy S3 to 5 inches. This new display could also be the first OLED screen to hit the market. Being much more durable than alternative types of display this will give the S4 a great marketing tool and another reason for consumers to turn to this new flagship device.
Despite having no official confirmation it looks as though the new Samsung Galaxy S4 will hit shelves in May this year following a massive launch event when the model will be unveiled. We will keep you posted with the breaking news on this model as it develops.
