According to the Apple Insider, Apple will not be including the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini in its patent war against the Korean tech giant in the US.
The Cupertino firm has included the smaller version of the Galaxy S3 to a list of devices it claims infringes on its patents. This comes after a court has asked the two tech giants to present lists of rival devices they think infringe on their patents. The second trial is scheduled to take place in California on March of 2014.
However, since the Galaxy S3 Mini is not included in the list of Samsung products sold in the US, Apple has agreed to remove the device from the list of products it thinks infringes on its patents.
Although Apple has agreed not to include the Galaxy S3 Mini from its list, it is far from happy. The Cupertino firm has still included popular devices such as the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 2.
Does this mean that the Galaxy S3 Mini will not be included in Apple’s list? Apple will be including the device to its list once the Korean firm starts selling the S3 Mini in the US.
In the first epic trial between the two, Samsung was ordered by a US jury to pay Apple over $1 billion in damages. On the second trial, the Korean firm will be heard on its claims about the iPhone 5.
