The first Samsung smart phone to boast the new Windows Phone 8 software has now been released on a second UK network, the Samsung ATIV S now has O2 deals available after launching on Vodafone on November 23rd.
The new Windows Phone 8 operating system is more closely associated with the new Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC 8X thanks to lots of TV and online advertising, however Samsung’s new smart phone is well worth a closer look – it may not be available in the bold and vibrant colour schemes of its rivals but it packs the largest screen, the biggest battery and is the lightest of them all.
These new Samsung Galaxy ATIV S deals on O2 start with line rental prices of £21.50 per month and a free phone is available from £32, that’s £1 cheaper than the original Vodafone deals although you will get half of the inclusive minutes of the £33 Vodafone tariff.
The specifications of the ATIV S are similar to those of the Android operated Samsung Galaxy S3, it boasts the same 4.8 inch Super-AMOLED HD touch screen display, 1.9 mega pixel front facing and 8 mega pixel rear facing camera capturing full 1080p HD video.
Run by a speedy dual-core 1.5GHz processor with 1GB of RAM, the new ATIV S showcases the new Windows software brilliantly, the larger screen is great for programming your ‘Live Tiles’ just the way you like them.
