Drop tests and scratch tests are performed along with some tests that we have never seen performed on a smartphone before. A test to see how the phones react when being exposed to water is included, including everything from a rain simulator to being soaked with a hose. The phones are also hooked up to various machines to test how durable the USB ports and home buttons are, and to see how much pressure the touchscreens can take whilst still working.
