Nokia Lumia 920 Sold Out At Major US Retailers

Microsoft recently launched its new Windows Phone 8 operating system, and a handful of devices from Nokia, HTC and Samsung launched to showcase the software.  The flagship device from Nokia called the Lumia 920 was one of the most eagerly anticipated smartphone releases of the year.  It appears that it has lived up to the hype, was initial reports that the phone has sold very high volumes in a short space of time since its launch a couple of weeks ago.

In fact, Nokia Germany recently posted on its Facebook page that stocks of the device have sold out across the country, and asks anyone who knows of retailers with remaining stocks of the Lumia 920 to post details on the Facebook page.

The United States has also seen very strong sales of the Lumia 920. The handset is currently exclusive to AT&T in the US, which is one of the largest mobile network operators across the pond.  The network has announced that it has sold out of Nokia Lumia 920 handsets for now, as has Amazon.com. The best Nokia Lumia 920 Offers and top Nokia Lumia 820 Deals can be found on our website.

This will certainly be very good news for Nokia, which has been somewhat pinning its hopes on the success of this device.  Over the last couple of years, it’s been largely unable to match the sales of competing devices from manufacturers like Apple and Samsung, and as a result has been plagued by financial troubles.

With backing from Microsoft, which is spending a lot on marketing Windows Phone 8 devices, it appears that the Lumia 920 has been every bit as successful as the Finland based manufacturer could have hoped.  It is certainly the most advanced phone from the company for a number of years, and its success looks sure to continue as more and more people seek alternatives to iOS and to some extent Android powered smartphones which are dominating the market.
