Given that the Samsung Galaxy S3 is currently the most popular smartphone in the world it is no surprise that we have sen a succession of alternative Galaxy handsets released, each designed to appeal to a different niche of the smartphone market. We are now set to welcome another new addition in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Premier.
The popular Samsung Galaxy S3 has shifted over 30 million units already this year and has also outsold the iPhone 4S during the third financial period but a range of other Galaxy phones has been introduced to help maximise the appeal of the brand. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was recently launched with its sights set firmly on the power hungry smartphone fans wanting the ultimate in screen size. At the other end of the scale we have also recently seen the Galaxy S3 Mini get a UK release. As its name suggest this phones is designed to appeal to the consumer looking for high specification but in an all together more compact design. This week news has emerged about the new Samsung Galaxy Premier which is set to hit shelves soon.
The Galaxy Premier from Samsung is firmly targeting the mid range smartphone consumer, those people wanting excellent functionality without the premium prices that top end devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S3 command. Looking through the specification of this new model the first thing that strikes you is that it is very similar to the Galaxy Nexus. The new model uses the same 4.65 inch Super AMOLED display and also an identical dual core TI OMAP processor. It would be unfair however to simply label the premier as a redesigned Nexus as the new Nature UX used on the phone delivers a totally different user experience that feels worlds apart form what the Nexus offered. The inclusion of Android Jelly Bean software will also appeal as will the attractive new design which is in keeping with the other devices boasted by the range. The new Galaxy Premier is a great compliment to the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the other phones that Samsung have introduced. While the S3 remains the brands flagship handset the Premier proves a great alternative which will be more friendly on the wallet.
