After much media speculation the new Windows 8 Mobile platform has finally been released and along with it a host of new and exciting smartphones. One of the most eagerly awaited models is the new Nokia Lumia 920, the flagship handset in Nokia’s range.

Although the Lumia 920 may not be the flagship device in the WIndows range it is certainly Nokia’s most impressive handset and arguably the best example of a Windows phone on the market. The handset is only available on contract in the UK via the new EE network but this does mean that consumers opting for this model with this provider will able to enjoy 4G data transfer speeds which are five times faster than 3G. The Nokia lumia 920 is not the only handset from the Finnish manufacturer that EE will be offering as they also have the more mid range Lumia 820 on board as well. “We believe the best smartphones deserve the best network, so the new Lumia 920 and 820 are perfect additions to our four device range. By combining Nokia’s innovative hardware with the power of our superfast 4G network, we’re providing consumers with an amazing mobile experience that will enhance their digital lives” said Paul Jevons, Director of Products and Devices at Everything Everywhere.
There is no doubt that both of these models will prove a success with consumers as Nokia are renowned for their Windows devices. The top of the range Lumia 920 sports an impressive 4.5 inch display which makes the handset perfect for a multitude of tasks. Pureview technology is incorporated to ensure that video playback is superb and when it comes to photography a new floating lens system lets through five time more light than traditional phone cameras, reducing the need for a flash. The Nokia Lumia 820 may be the cheaper option but benefits from an eye catching design that includes a removable shell that enables the colour of the phone to be changed quickly and easily.
EE will be delighted with their exclusivity on the Nokia Lumia 920 handset while the Lumia 820 will strike a chord with consumers looking for a more wallet friendly Windows phone.
