Google have revealed their new Nexus 4 Android smart phone taking over the reigns from the previous Samsung Galaxy Nexus, this time manufactured by LG the Nexus 4 has been given prices as well as a release date for contract deals and SIM free stock.
The Google Nexus 4 has received a release date of November 13th (Tuesday) and deals include a SIM Free 8GB version at £239 plus a 16GB version at £279, this latest Android smart phone is going straight up against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC One X but has some clever new trickery up its sleeve.
Boasting a fast, quad-core 1.5GHz processor with a large 2GB of RAM, the new Galaxy S3 LTE (i9305) has the same 2GB RAM but a 1.4GHz processor whilst the new HTC One X+ offers a faster 1.7GHz quad-core chip but with half the RAM.
Matching the 4.7 inch screen size of the HTC One X the Nexus 4 offers a True HD 768 x 1280 pixel resolution with 320ppi (that’s nearly as much as the 326ppi that the iPhone 5 offers!), on the back is an 8 mega pixel camera featuring full HD video capture and a new imaging feature known as Photo Sphere which allows the user to not only pan left and right for panoramic shots but also up and down whilst stitching the pictures together.
Shipped with the latest Android 4.2 which is still known as Jelly Bean, the Nexus 4 also Wireless Charging, NFC support with Android Beam, Google Wallet, GPS with Google Maps, Wi-Fi, SlimPort HDMI and Voice Search amongst its features, LG and Google have also included Music Manager for transferring your iTunes library across to the phone.
Android enthusiasts will be looking forward to getting their hands on Google’s latest bit of kit come mid November and we’ll update the rest of you as soon as contract deals are released by the networks and retailers.
