Although neither LG nor Google have confirmed the existence of the device, but it seems the LG Nexus 4 has been leaked numerous times on the internet.
The device was previously leaked as the LG Optimus G Nexus earlier during the month and hasn’t stopped since then. It is rumoured to be a new Nexus smartphone, the first to run Android 4.2 (a minor update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean). It is expected to make its first appearance in November.
Now, according to sources, the new device will be called the LG Nexus 4. Recently, a new photo has emerged showing the back casing as well as a few more details.
@evleaks has leaked a number of handsets in the past, including the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Lumia 820. Recently, the Twitter handle also leaked details on the HTC One X+. Now, it has also revealed more details on the LG Nexus 4.
The photo leaked by @evleaks shows the back casing of the rumoured Nexus device, which matches earlier leaked photos of the device.
It was also revealed that the device will weigh in at 139g. It is also said to be 9.1mm thick and will sport a 4.7-inch display.
The tweet also reveals the LG Nexus 4 sporting a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 1280×768 pixels, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, 8 to 16GB of storage, a 1.5GHz APQ8064 quad-core processor, and 2GB of RAM, which lines up with previous leaks.
@evleaks also adds that the rumoured device will sport a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and a 2,100mAh battery.
According to previous reports, the LG Nexus 4’s specs are based on the LG Optimus G but will look more like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
Google has just sent invitations to a special even that will be kicking off on the 29th of October. We’re expecting the LG Nexus 4 to be officially unveiled at the event.
