If you’re looking to get your hands on the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mni, we have good news for you. The smaller version of the Galaxy S3 will be landing in shops on the 8th of November. This means that the handset is coming in a little bit over a two weeks from now.
Online retailers have confirmed that the Galaxy S3 Mini will be arriving on the 8th of November. This includes Phones4U. You can also get your hands on the 4-inch handset by signing up for a contract with network operators Vodafone, O2, or Orange. Alternatively, you can also get your hands on a SIM-free handset.
Expansys is asking £315 for the SIM-free version of the Galaxy S3 Mini. This is a bit more expensive than what we expected, since the handset was expected to set you back £250 when it was launched. Furthermore, it was expected to be officially released on the 2nd of November, which means it will be hitting UK shops later than expected.
Don’t expect, however, to find an iPhone rival if ever you do end up buying the smartphone. It sports a smaller 4-inch display compared to the 4.8-inch touchscreen on the Galaxy S3, with lower resolution. Furthermore, it only comes with a dual-core processor under the hood, compared to the quad-core monster sitting under the hood of the Korean firm’s flagship.
It’s only advantage over its bigger brother is that it ships running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), which is the latest version of Android. The S3 ships running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Jelly Bean, however, is now starting to roll out to S3 owners in the UK.
