A smaller version of Samsung’s best-selling (and now award winning) Galaxy SIII has just been released in the UK, the new Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini now has contract deals available on the O2 network with tariffs already available offering a free phone.
The new Galaxy S3 Mini slims down on the original S3′s dimensions by offering a 4 inch Super AMOLED display rather than the larger 4.8 inches of the bigger model, this brings its overall measurements down to 121.55 x 63 x 9.85 mm and weight down from 133g to 111.5g making for a far more pocket friendly smart phone.
Powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini might not have the quad-core power of its bigger brother but the smaller screen with less resolution means it’s still a very fast little phone and one big advantage it does have over the i9300 S3 is that it comes with the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system already installed (like the new i9305 Galaxy S3 LTE edition).
Many of the Samsung Galaxy S3 features have also made their way into the smaller S3 Mini with the likes of S-Beam with NFC, S-Voice, Direct Call, Smart Alert and Smart Stay all present, there’s also a 5 mega pixel camera which can capture 720p HD video clips as well as a good sized 1500mAh battery.
Available in both Pebble Blue and Marble White colour schemes the new Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini is a really nice alternative to those that do not want to pay the higher price for the Galaxy S3 and those who prefer a smaller, more manageable sized smart phone.
