Nokia Lumia 920 ad mocks iPhone 5

Nokia has posted its Lumia 920 advert, which takes a crack out of the Apple iPhone 5.

The animated ad shows a group of people queuing for Apple’s new iPhone. Of course, the new iPhone wasn’t mentioned, but it’s pretty obvious the ad was referring to Apple’s new kit. The people (looking more like drones) and their surroundings are coloured in gloomy grey, showing how boring the world would be if everything was just in black and white. One man queued for the new iPhone demanded for a yellow phone, and is introduced to the Lumia 920 lighting up his world with colours.

From the first iPhone to the current kit, iPhones have only been available in either black or white. With Lumia handsets, you get to enjoy more colours, which set you apart from the drones.

The Lumia 920 will be landing in November. It will be available in red, yellow, white, black, and grey. The Lumia 820 will also be available in these colours plus the colour purple. You can choose your colour for the day, since the phone comes with swappable cases.

Nokia will not be the only manufacturer to launch their Windows Phone 8 handsets in November. The Finnish firm will be joined by HTC with their 8X and 8S and Samsung with their Ativ S.

Nokia is not the first manufacturer to mock Apple’s iPhone 5. Samsung started it all, making fun of Apple fans queuing for the new iPhone and referring to them as old folk. Motorola was the second, making fun of the new Apple kit and the Maps app mess.

Does the Nokia Lumia 920 advert make you want to ditch your iPhone for a colourful Windows Phone 8 handset, or are you happy with black and white? Share your thoughts through a comment on our Facebook page.
