UK Stores Now Stocking The Samsung Galaxy Note 2

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has been launched in the United Kingdom today, after its South Korea launch on Wednesday.  The follow up to the popular Samsung Galaxy Note sees plenty of upgraded features, so chances are it will prove every bit as popular as its predecessor which has so far sold over 12 million units around the world.

Even by the standards of many newer smartphones, the original Samsung Galaxy Note is an impressive handset, but the new version sees some impressive upgrades.  For example, the screen has been increased in size to a whopping 5.5 inches, and even the Galaxy Note’s trademark S-Pen has been improved for enhanced precision and versatility.  Android’s latest Jellybean OS is included alongside the latest version of the Samsung TouchWiz UI.  One of the most notable upgrades though is in the processor department.  Thanks to a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is now officially the most powerful handset on the market, even beating Samsung’s wildly popular Galaxy S3 and the new Apple iPhone 5.

When the iPhone 5 was launched, we saw the familiar sight of lines of eager fans queuing up outside Apple stores and weeks of media hype building up to its launch.  Whilst this has not been the case with the launch of the Galaxy Note 2, it still looks set to be a popular handset nonetheless.  The president of Samsung Mobile, JK Shin has stated that the handset could achieve 20 million sales.  It would not come as much of a surprise if this was achieved, given the success of the original Galaxy Note despite the fact that many people doubted the potential popularity of its large screen format, which somewhat bridges the gap between smartphone and tablet.

A number of prominent UK networks are now offering Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Deals such as Vodafone, Orange, O2 and T-Mobile, along with the usual SIM free and Pay As You Go deals.  The handset is offered in both Marble White and Titanium Grey options, both of which are offered in different storage variants of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, although all versions will have a microSD slot.

For those who do not wish to follow the crowd by purchasing an iPhone, there are now more options than ever.  The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is one of the most unique alternatives which can do nothing but help its popularity.
