Samsung Golden coming in November

It looks like the Korean tech giant will be adding another phone to its long list of mobile phones. The phone has been codenamed the Samsung Golden, and it is expected to arrive in November. Unfortunately, not much is known about the mystery phone at this point.

The phone’s model number is GT-i8190. According to SamMobile, the GT-i8190 has been codenamed Golden. Currently, not much is known about the phone’s specs, but it is expected to land in shops before Christmas.

The only thing that is known about the phone is its camera. It is said to sport a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera. The rest of the phone’s specs are a mystery. It is expected to be available in the colour blue or white. It will not be available in the colour gold, which is disappointing since it has been codenamed Golden.

According to the report, the Samsung Golden will be renamed before its rumoured unveiling in November. Since the release date is rumoured to be on November, it’s possible that it will be a Windows Phone 8-powered handset instead of Android, since most Windows Phone 8 phones will be released by then. This means that it will be joining the Ativ S instead of Samsung’s Galaxy range, which includes the Galaxy S3.

Samsung was the first to unveil their Windows Phone 8 handset the Ativ S. Nokia followed with the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820. The third was HTC with the 8X and 8S. Since manufacturers have launched two Windows Phone 8 handsets, we’re guessing Samsung will unveil their second as well.

Will Samsung be launching another handset running Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8? Will it be the Samsung Golden, or will the Korean tech giant launch another handset to its Galaxy range running Android? Let us know what you think through a comment on our Facebook page.
