One of the most exciting smartphones of the year has been officially launched in both India and Germany. The new Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will sit alongside the Galaxy S3 at the top of the manufacturers range and will boast some great specification alongside a massive Super AMOLED display.
We first caught a glimpse of this new phone back at the end of August when Samsung unveiled the model at the IFA event which was held in Berlin. Along with a release date of the phone we have also been provided with the price of this new model. In India the phone will set consumers back the equivalent of $750 US dollars while the German price will be slightly lower at 699 Euro. Samsung are hoping that this model will prove as big a hit as previous models such as the Samsung Galaxy S3. Although this new phone is unlikely to hit the heights of the S3 it is still predicted that it may ship 20 million units, far surpassing figures achieved by the original Note handset. Thanks to the large screen the model is set to appeal to those looking for a larger than average smartphone display and may even pick up customers who were originally in the market for a compact tablet device.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is packing some awesome specification that is not only in the screen department. In terms of software the phone will be one of the first to ship with the Jelly Bean version of the popular Android package and a powerful 1.6Ghz Quad core processor will combine with this to deliver exceptional performance. The lightning fast speed of this phone is also apparent when it comes to network connectivity as it will enable users to connect to the new 4G LTE networks for fast data transfer speeds. Other stand out features include an 8 mega pixel still camera and 1080P video recording.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 looks destined to be on of the stand out models of this year and the second truly exceptional phone to be released by Samsung.
