When Samsung posted its Galaxy S3 ad, it again made fun of Apple fans queued for the iPhone 5. So, you may think the Cupertino firm would do the same and bash the S3. The good news is the ads focus on the new iPhone. The bad news is they’re pretty annoying.
The first ad says, “Your thumb. It goes from here to here. This bigger screen. It goes from here to here. Now, that’s either a) an amazing coincidence, or b) a dazzling display of common sense. Pretty sure it’s the common sense thing.”
Does Apple think we’re stupid? Here’s the video.
Another ad talks about the laws of physics. It also talks about how the new iPhone is bigger and at the same time slimmer, defying the laws of physics. Impressive? Not really. Other manufacturers have been making handsets slimmer than previous iPhone models for quite some time now.
Here’s the video.
The next video shows the iPhone 5 snapping a picture of kids wearing costumes. Normally, you’d have to zoom out to take the entire shot, but the new iPhone pans from left to right to take the shot. Now, this ad isn’t annoying. Some might even find it cute.
Here’s the video.
The last ad talks about how the new iPhone’s Earpods have been better designed to fit the ears. It just goes to show how poorly-designed the past earphones were.
Here’s the video.
Although these ads are pretty annoying, at least they focus on the iPhone 5 instead of bashing rival’s products.
Samsung’s current S3 ad makes fun of Apple fans and suggests that the new iPhone is for old folks, which makes the Korean firm look desperate.
With the billions these two make through their products, we’re sure they can come up with better ads that are less smug or insulting.
