Jelly Bean rolling out to HTC One X in October?

Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) is rumoured to be rolling out to HTC One X in October. The One XL, the 4G version of the One X, is said to run Jelly Bean straight out of the box.

MoDaCo suggests that the latest version of Android will be rolling out to the unlocked One X next month. For handsets tied to a contract, the update will be rolling out before Christmas. This is just about the same time the Samsung Galaxy 3 is scheduled to get Jelly Bean.

Both the One XL and the LTE Galaxy S3 will be offered by EE (formerly known as Everything Everywhere), which can connect to the EE’s 4GEE network. The One XL is rumoured to run Jelly Bean straight out of the box. The 4G S3 has already been confirmed to run Jelly Bean once buyers get their hands on it.

If there are devices that deserve to get Jelly Bean, it’s the HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S3. First of all, they are two of the most powerful Android devices in the market, sporting quad-core processors. Secondly, if you’ve gotten your hands on one of these phones, they probably cost you an arm and a leg. Having spent a lot on the phones with an outdated version of Android may not sit well with you.

Jelly Bean is the latest version of Android. It brings new features into the pool such as Google Now, a feature that delivers the information you need even before thinking it. Sadly, it has been around for months and is only beginning to roll out to Android devices.

Can’t wait to get Jelly Bean running on your HTC One X, or are you waiting to get your hands on the HTC One XL, which is rumoured to run Jelly Bean straight out of the box? Let us know through a comment on our Facebook page.
