By the time you are reading this you will probably know the exact specification of the new iPhone 5. For a few weeks it has been expected that Apple will unveil the phone on September 12th and now this date has been confirmed by the company.
Official invitations have now been received by a wide range of industry experts and journalists and although they do not confirm the exact nature of the event they do strongly hint that it will be where the iPhone 5 will be unveiled. The event is being held in San Francisco at the Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts, a location that Apple have previously used for numerous product launches. This in itself suggests that the new phone will be revealed here but the invite also offers some clues. On the front is the words “its almost here” with a large number 12 placed directly beneath. While this obviously relates to the date of September the 12th the shadow cast by this number forms an even larger number 5, the expected model number of the new iPhone. If Apple do, as expected, reveal the device at this press conference then we should expect a general release to happen with two weeks of this date.
The iPhone 5 may not have been officially launched yet but there are some areas of the model where we know there will definitely be changes. One area that will delight consumers is the new screen which will be larger than any other screen previously incorporated on an iPhone device. At 4 inches in size this screen should have a number of benefits for users especially when it comes to web browsing and multi media playback. Apple will look to increase the resolution of this display in order to maintain the 326PPI pixel density that is offered by the iPhone 4S.
In a very short amount of time we should know the exact identity of the new iPhone 5. This new model is expected to offer a range of great features together with an attractive new design.
