Samsung has confirmed that Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) will be rolling out to its flagship the Galaxy S3 on October. The 4G version of the smartphone will run the latest version of Android right out of the box.
We’re hoping Samsung doesn’t mess up this update just like it did with the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Galaxy S2. It does explain, however, that “the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system will be available on the Galaxy S3 from October”.
Unfortunately, the Korean tech giant failed to mention when exactly in October should we expect the update to roll out. It is expected, however, that the update will roll out to the SIM-free version first.
