Samsung’s new ‘Super Phone’ has now been launched by 3 Mobile after seeing an O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone release over the past few days, the new Samsung Galaxy S3 is the upgrade to the hugely successful Galaxy S2 and is now available to order in both marble white and pebble blue colour schemes.
Samsung Galaxy S3 contract deals on the Three Mobile network offer the phone free of charge on contracts of £32 line rental, but for those that love to browse, download and watch video the dedicated 3G network also offers free Galaxy S3 deals with unlimited data starting at just £35 per month.
Looking more like a sleeker Samsung Galaxy Nexus than an S2 upgrade the brand new Galaxy S3 offers the second largest touch screen display on the market, only beaten in size by the Samsung Galaxy Note at 5.3 inches the new SIII has a 4.8 inch 1280 x 720 pixel resolution Super AMOLED HD panel which dominates the front of the phone.
This is the first quad-core powered Samsung phone to hit the market and packs a 1.4GHz chip for super-speedy operation, there’s also 1GB of RAM and a 16GB memory which can be expanded further using MicroSD cards, running the new Android 4.0.4 OS the Galaxy SIII uses Samsung’s TouchWizuser interface and includes loads of new features such as fcial recognition unlock and far better battery management from its large 2100mAh battery.
On the back is an 8 mega pixel camera which can capture video clips at in full HD 1080p and introduces a whole new set of features, these include the ability to capture still pictures whilst in video mode which we first saw in the HTC One X and a ‘Burst Mode’ which takes 8 consecutive pictures and then using ‘Best Photo’ software suggests which is the best picture.
Measuring 136 x 70 x 8.5mm and weighing just 133g this latest Samsung Galaxy smart phone is extremely sleek and lightweight for the size of screen, there are also even more network launches expected over the next few days including a release on the virtual networks; Talk Mobile and Tesco Mobile soon, all pre-orders are to be fulfilled when UK stocks arrive on May 29th.
