The white edition of HTC’s new flagship One X smart phone now has contract deals available on both O2 and T-Mobile, this quad-core chipped device is part of HTC’s new ‘One’ series and has been released alongside the mid-range HTC One S and budget HTC One V models.
HTC One X White deals on T-Mobile are currently offering a free phone from £31 line rental on two tariffs, our choice of these would be the T-Mobile 600 deal which includes 750MB of data which this Android 4.0 smart phone will enjoy when updating and running apps, surfing the web and viewing online video clips, there’s also 600 minutes of inclusive calls and unlimited text messaging included in the package.
The One X is the first smart phone to make it to market with a quad-core processor, HTC have also cleverly included a further dedicated imaging chip taking care of the camera functions which adds a whole host of features to the 8 mega pixel unit, one of these is the introduction of the facility to capture high quality still pictures whilst recording or even playing back video clips which are captured at full HD 1080p quality.
The front of the HTC One X is dominated by its large 4.7 inch 720 x 1280 pixel HD display, this is currently the second largest touch screen available in any smart phone and only beaten in size by the Samsung Galaxy Note at 5.3 inches, this same sized screen was used in the previous HTC Sensation XL but the One X packs in far more technology and features.
The One X also has a front facing 1.3 mega pixel camera for video calls which is common amongst high end Android phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S2, Sony Xperia S and HTC Sensation XE, all of the usual connections are also available which includes high speed 3.5G data support, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC technology, HTC have also pre-installed their Beats Audio music technology which sounds great through both the external speakers and branded earphones.
This new flagship HTC phone offers 32GB of internal memory and is powered by a large 1800 mAh battery, due to its screen size it is a large handset at 134 x 70 x 8.9mm however it only weighs 130g which is less than the smaller Sensation XE and iPhone 4S, running Android latest 4.0 ‘Ice Cream Sandwich operating system which was released initially in the Galaxy Nexus the One X can multi task at speed, zip through its menus and fly around the internet a lightning speed.
There is set to be a raft of new quad-core devices hitting the market over the coming weeks including the LG Optimus 4X HD, Huawei Ascend D Quad and Samsung Galaxy S3 plus rumours suggest even the new iPhone 5 will sport the technology, it looks like 2012 really is the year of speed when it comes to smart phones.
