If you’re a fan of the longest-running American sitcom, longest-running American animated program, and the recipient of countless awards, The Simpsons, you’ll be happy to know that The Simpsons: Tapped Out will be coming soon to iPhones and iPads.
According to CNET News, Electronic Arts (EA) will be launching the iOS game in a few weeks free-to-play for devices such as the iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 4, and iPhone 4S.
The Simpsons: Tapped Out can be played for free, but if you’re looking to get ahead of everybody else, you can do so by purchasing premium items such as doughnuts with real cash.
In the game, Homer accidentally causes a nuclear explosion, which turns Springfield into rubble. Your task is to help Homer rebuild the city. As you progress into the game, more characters will be unlocked.
EA’s SVP of global publishing for social media, Bernard Kim, said, “We want this to be one of the biggest titles this year. We’ve invested a lot. It’s absolutely a top-tier development priority for us.”
The Simpsons: Tapped Out will soon be available for iPhones and iPads. The game will also be available for Android devices soon after its launch in Apple’s App Store.
