Three and O2 soon to offer Samsung Galaxy S Advance
The Samsung Galaxy S Advance has only recently been officially announced, and the handset is already making its way to network operators Three and O2. Three has listed the smartphone on its website as “coming soon” and O2 has confirmed to CNET UK that it too would be offering the handset. Unfortunately, the networks failed to mention the phone’s price tag, but it’s likely the phone will be a budget dual-core handset.
The Galaxy S Advance is a beefed up version of the original Galaxy S. It also borrows design elements from the Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy Nexus. It sports a 4.0 inch AMOLED display and a 1 GHz dual-core processor.
Sadly, the Galaxy S Advance ships running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) instead of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) like the Galaxy Nexus. However, although not the latest version, it will still allow users to access a large variety of apps from the Android Market.
Although the Galaxy S Advance is not the most cutting edge Android smartphone the Korean tech giant has to offer, you will still get to enjoy the most popular Android OS. You get a dual-core processor and Gingerbread, which is likely to hit shops at a reasonable price.
